The Centennial Job Corps Center, located in Nampa, Idaho replaced an existing facility in nearby Marsing. This project is located on a 16 acre undeveloped parcel of land, and is surrounded on north, east and west sides by City owned golf courses and a state hospital on the south. LCA Master Planned the site to accommodate nine buildings.
The campus is designed to fit the three functional zones of the Job Corps structure – residential/recreation, administration, and education/vocational.
The buildings, totaling nine, include a two dormitories, a cafeteria, an administration and medical building, a basic educational classroom building, a vocational classroom and shop building, a physical education facility, and a maintenance warehouse.
The campus was sited to take advantage of the scenic views of the northern mountains while placing service and delivery circulation paths as buffers between the campus and the adjacent hospital physical plant.
