Deschutes County Public Safety Building

This project is a two-story, 33,670 square foot building and 6,600 square foot outbuilding for Oregon State Police (OSP) storage and vehicle maintenance. The primary building is designed to provide a secure, functional, and comfortable work environment for public safety operations.

The first floor houses Oregon State Police. Areas include a squad room used by police officers on duty, administration offices, and a forensics lab. The second floor houses Deschutes County 911. Areas include a large dispatch room (which is occupied 24 hours a day, seven days a week), dispatch operations offices, and two emergency operation centers.

The outbuilding is utilized for OSP vehicle maintenance and vehicle inspections, storage, and site maintenance. It also serves as the structure for a photovoltaic array that produces on-site energy for the facility.

The building is LEED Silver Certified.
